Summer Camp
Nestled in the heart of Florence County, our camps offer an unforgettable experience for kids from kindergarten through 5th grade. At the Environmental Discovery Center, we believe in the power of nature to inspire, educate, and transform young minds. Our week-long summer camps are designed to provide children with hands-on learning experiences in the great outdoors, fostering a deep appreciation for the natural world.
The details:
Cost: Each week of camp is $100 and campers receive one camp t-shirt (per summer), a printed photo, and an offsite field trip included. Additional camp shirts may be purchased; see camp counselor or EDC staff member for more information. One snack and juice will be provided each day; however, campers will need to bring a lunch. Weather permitting, 4th-5th grade camps include canoeing and a trip to the Climbing Wall. All camps include a trip to the Splash Pad.
Schedule: All camps run Monday - Friday 9AM - 3PM.
8:30AM - 9AM -- camper drop off
3PM - 3:30PM -- camper pick up
Campers not picked up by 3:30PM will be subject to late fees.
Cancellation and Refunds: Refunds will be issued if withdrawal from a camp is received at least one week (five business days) prior to the start of the camp. Failure to attend a camp without notification or cancellation will not result in a refund. In the event that a camp is canceled by the Environmental Discovery Center, a full refund will be issued. Refunds take approximately two weeks to process and will be received by mail.

Please complete the registration form below or visit the Environmental Discovery Center (EDC) for a physical paperwork packet. Please do not mail in camp paperwork or payments. If you would like to pay with cash or check you must visit the EDC during business hours. We can process debit or credit card payments in person or over the phone. Registration is not confirmed until all necessary forms and payment are received.
Payment is due at the time of registration.
