Lynches River Environmental Discovery Center Supervisor
Originally from North Carolina, Jennifer moved to Florida to attend Rollins College and work for SeaWorld Adventure Parks as an Education Instructor and Environmental Specialist. After graduating in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies/Growth Management, she moved to South Carolina to continue her environmental career with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources and began working on her graduate degree through the University of Denver. After traveling to Zimbabwe, Africa to do research with the African lion, she received her Master of Science degree in Environmental Policy and Management with a concentration in Natural Resource Management.
Jennifer joined the Florence County Recreation Department as the Environmental Discovery Center Supervisor (EDC) in April 2010. As Supervisor, she uses her more than 11 years of environmental education experience to manage the operation of the EDC and oversee the development and implementation of environmental education and outdoor recreational programs and services.
